Abstract submission deadline for FELASA congress in Prague: 31 January

The Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations’ 14th FELASA congress will take place from 10 – 13 June 2019 in Prague, Czech Republic. This scientific and educational event offers presentations on recent research finding about the use and welfare of animals in experiments with a special focus on this year’s topic: the correct reporting of animal research. Fondazione Guido Bernardini offers two animal care scholarships for technicians

Technicians involved in the care of animals used in biomedical research may apply for a FGB technician scholarship offered by Fondazione Guido Bernardini. They will get training in laboratory animal care and attend a course at a research facility. The application deadline is 1 February 2019. Reproducibility day at University of Zurich on 5 February in Zurich

The Centre for Reproducible Science at the University of Zurich is organising workshop on reproducibility of research for UZH students, researchers, administrative and technical staff on 5 February 2019. Norecopa course on application of PREPARE guidelines 19 March in Copenhagen

Norway’s National Consensus Platform for the advancement of the 3Rs (Norecopa) and a housing supplier are organising a one-day course on 19 March 2019. The course built around the application of the PREPARE guidelines targets scientists interested in learning techniques to increase the validity of their animal experiments.
