3Rs at the Pint of Science

The Pint of Science has had huge success in reaching the public with science for many years and we were delighted to host evenings of the 3Rs presentations and discussion in Bern and Geneva in May 2025.

In Bern we were welcomed to Kramer Keller to present each of the 3Rs to a packed cellar of interested memebers of the public. The evening featured presentations for the 3RCC's Armand Mensen, Nathalie Jung from the University of Fribourg and Tosca Dalessi and Philipp Villiger from the University of Zurich. The evening ended with a quiz on the content of the talks, with around half of the participants scoring full marks!

In Geneva we had five presenters, all from the University of Geneva. Daniele Roppolo and Elsa Giobellina gave wonderful intro talks to the 3Rs and animal experimentation, providing a foundation for the rest of the team to talk about their research. Sanae El Harane, George Mourad Ramzy and Marta Sousa then followed with inspiring talks on how they are developing replacement methods.
