The goal of this workshop is to get young researchers thinking about how they might begin to put together a 3Rs project in the future. Whether you already have plans to write a grant or are simply interested in understanding how projects can develop through collaboration, we welcome you to join us for this one-day workshop.

During the event, participants are assigned to interdisciplinary groups, mixing laboratory research and social sciences perspectives, with the goal of developing a 3Rs advancement project together. Groups are guided through ideation, collaborative problem-solving and project creation, inspired by your own research. Each group will have the opportunity to pitch their idea for a 3Rs solution, with feedback from the mentors. As well as developing valuable soft skills, you will deepen your understanding of what the 3Rs mean in your own field and within the group, and gain clearer insight into how 3Rs solutions can be implemented.

What is the ECRN?

This event is part of the ECRN. The Early Career Researcher Network (ECRN) brings together Master’s and PhD students and early-career postdocs (within five years of completing their PhD) to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and build a community of researchers who promote and progress the 3Rs.
