In 2026, the Swiss 3Rs Day comes to Basel – the heart of Swiss biomedical research. This year, we focus on immunology and infectious disease, two fields where scientific progress is urgently needed and where new approaches can significantly advance the Replacement, Reduction and Refinement of animal use.

The event brings together researchers, animal welfare specialists, clinicians, policymakers, and 3Rs innovators to explore:
